Progress Reports
A reminder to parents that Progress Reports will
be sent home on March 10, 2011. It is important
to keep up with your child's academic progress by
checking the SIS system at least once a week.
Many parent SIS accounts have been shut down because
the parent has permitted the account to lapse.
Please do your child and yourself a favor by staying
abreast of their progress.
Tuition Suspension Day
As mentioned on your child's tuition card and
the yearly calendar there will be a
tuition suspension day on Monday February 28, 2011.
Letters reminding parents of the balance due will
be sent home by Thursday February 24th.
Parents may meet with Mr. Woods on
Saturday February 25th from 6:00PM - 8:00PM or
Sunday February 26th from 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM
regarding their balance.
Re-Registration for the 2011-2012 School Year
A reminder to parents that re-registration forms
are in the tuition office.
They are due by Monday February 28th.
It is especially important that parents in
grade 1 re-register early so that decisions may be
made concerning the need for two second grades.
Parents in grade one who have not re-registered
in time may be placed on a waiting list.

Parents of Students in Grades 5, 6, 7 & 8
At the Faculty Meeting on Friday February 11th
the faculty unanimously decided that the Electronic Device
policy of the school needs to be reinforced.
Beginning Monday February 14th
students in grades 5-8 will be required
to hand in their electronic devices (i-Pods, cell phones and
any other MP3 or MP4 players) at the beginning of the day.
These devices will be stored in the school office
until dismissal wherein they will be returned. Any student
in grades 5-8 that has one of the aforementioned devices
in the lunchroom, backyard etc. will be required to hand
in the device to then be picked up by the parent from Mr. Woods.
As stated on page 38 of the Parents Handbook that was
distributed at the opening meeting in September:
The use of cell phones,
camera phones or other digital media is prohibited
during the school day. Cell phones, camera phones,
or other personal electronic devices will be confiscated
if students use them during the school day without permission.
In addition, any student who uses a camera,
camera phone or other personal electronic devices in
school or in the classroom for any reason will be suspended.
Further disciplinary measures including expulsion,
will be considered depending on the nature of the camera,
camera phone, or personal electronic device use.
Monday - Valentine's Day
Red Day. Students may wear a red shirt, skirt or pants
to school and not wear their school uniform.

Sunday.
She was principal of St. Elizabeth's
since 1989 and was a good friend
of OLQM.
