As everyone has been notified after 90 years 

Our Lady Queen of Martyrs School 

will close at the end of June.

Mr. Woods wants to notify all parents that some changes will be occurring to assist the children and parents during this closing:

1. All programs will continue to operate-- After School Program, Title I etc.

2. School Dismissal for all students in all grades will be at 2:45 PM to enable teachers and staff to work on resumes, meet with HR personnel etc.

3. The Title I program will end at 4:30 PM daily on the same days.

4. A new end of year calendar will be sent home next week so that June will be smooth month for your child's last days of school. 

 Mr. Woods  will have the calendar ready by next Monday and send it home.

5. Mr. Woods will be available on a daily basis from 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM to meet with parents in the office to assist in the transition for September 2023. Please call the office to make an appointment as Mr. Woods is still undergoing Physical Therapy.

6. No Summer Programs will be offered this Summer.

7. Alba and/or Mr. Guzman will be available to print out all report cards/records cards for parents. Please call them and let them you are requesting them. Only copies will be available as official records may only be transferred from one school to another.

8. Parents of students in the PreK For All Program will also be assisted by Ms. Francia with adjusting their myschools account.

Please note that this transition has been traumatic both to your child and all staff. Please have patience as we make this life changing event for your child as seamless as possible. Should your child exhibit any problems please contact Ms. M - the guidance counselor - so that she will assist them.

Mr. Woods will do the very best to assist students and parents -- please speak to him at the door in the morning/evening or come in for a meeting. Mr. Woods will continue to be in the school office on Sundays also as noted on the monthly calendar also for parent conversation.

Each week Mr. Woods will continue to update the transitional process. Our strength as a school community has been the line of communication that we have made part of our mission - parent, teacher, child and administration.  Please continue to use olqm1@aol.com to communicate with Mr. Woods.

This e-mail address will continue after the school closes in June.

Finally, please remember that tuition must be kept up to date for your records to be forwarded to your child's new school.
