This year there will be two Kindergarten classes - 25 students in each class this coming September:
K-1 - Ms. Ocasio
K-2 - Ms. Coello
I am happy to welcome Ms. Coello as the new Kindergarten teacher. Ms. Coello has been a teacher in the after school program here at OLQM for the last 5 years and has worked in the PreK Summer program for the past three years.
My office recently has received a number of calls requesting a specific teacher. In order to be fair regarding the distribution of students in each class and addressing parents wishes the following be in place.
Parents may request a specific teacher if:
1. The September tuition has been paid to Smart Tuition by August 15th.
2. Once the parent has paid they should
call the school office at 212-567-3190
and speak to Alba letting her know that they have paid and they are requesting that their child be placed in a specific class.
This policy existed for many years at OLQM when we had two Kindergarten classes and we are happy that the enrollment initiative instituted by the Archdiocese has enabled us to open the second Kindergarten class again.
Parents who may not have seen their scholarship reflected on their Smart Tuition account should contact Carol Martino - the enrollment specialist for the Catholic School Region of Manhattan at 646-794-2563.
Parents may reach Mr. Woods at the school office from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
