I want to introduce Mrs. Rosa Matos who will be replacing Ms. Serewko in the fifth grade classroom.
She will be teaching Grades 2-8 Religion and
Grade 2 Social Studies.

I also want parents to know that as you may heave heard the NYS test scores were released last Thursday.
I am happy to annouce that the ELA scores rose 4% and the Mathematics scores rose 18% from the previous year. Also all students in grade 4 passed the NYS Science test.

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year as I look forward in joining the OLQM family.
Supply List for the 2019-2020 School Year below
Grade 2 - Religion and Social Studies
2 - Multipocket folders ( plastic is best if possible)
3 - Marble notebooks ( no spiral notebooks)
2-3 yellow highlighter
1 dozen number 2 pencils ( no mechanical pencils allowed)
1 box crayons (24 count) Colored pencils ( optional)
1 pack of white computer paper
2 boxes of tissues
1 medium sized bottle of hand sanitizer
1 roll paper towel
Grades 3 through 8 Religion
2 Marble notebooks ( no spiral notebooks allowed)
1 package loose leaf paper ( Grades 3 to 5 wide rule )
2 packages loose leaf paper ( Grade 6 to 8 college rule)
1 package white computer paper
2 whiteout tape ( no liquid)
1 dozen Bic pens for Grades 4-8 ( blue ink preferred ) *everything is written in pen
1 dozen pencils, number 2, for grade 3 only ( no mechanical pencils)
4 yellow highlighter
2 boxes of tissues
1 roll of paper towels
1 medium sized container of hand sanitizer
1 container of disinfecting wipes ( Clorox or Lysol )
For grades 3 to 8 please be sure to have loose leaf paper at home for homework use.
All supplies should be brought in on the first day of school.
All notebooks should have your child’s name and grade on it.
* If need be, a friendly reminder will be sent when supplies might need replenishing.
