Annual Blessing of Domestic Animals

Students and parents are encouraged to bring their pets to be blessed at this annual blessing commemorating the life and work of St. Francis of Assisi.
Dogs and Cats will have to return home after Mass due to allergic conditions of some students.

Absence from School
If your child is going to be absent from school due to sickness please call Alba in the school office 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
Your child should return to school with a note.
It is NOT necessary to obtain a doctor's letter for a one or two day absence - a simple letter from a parent stating the reason for the absence will suffice.
If your child is absent more than 3 days then a doctor's letter is in order clearing your child to return to school.
If a child does not have a note (parent or doctor) then the absence is recorded as being illegal as per NYS Education law.
Please remember to read the attendance policy of the regional schools regarding excessive absences in the Parent Handbook.

collaborated with multiple partners, including parents, to develop a resource
that facilitates and promotes involvement and engagement. This parent brochure provides a description of the instructional cycle and the role of learning standards in the cycle, an FAQ for the Next Generation Learning Standards, and links to resources to support classroom learning at home.
