Covid-19 Vaccine
Many parents have already begun to have their child vaccinated against Covid-19.
There is no mandate to have your child vaccinated - it is a parent's choice as the Superintendent of Schools has stated in his weekly newsletters.
If your child does get vaccinated the parent is asked to share the vaccination card with the school so we can make a file for each of the classes.
Again, this is not mandatory.
As we saw with the 7th grade class students who were vaccinated were permitted to remain in school and not stay home quarantined.
If you have questions please feel free to see Mr. Woods during morning drop off/ after school pick up or on Sundays.
Grades will now appear in Educate gradebook system.Beginning this quarter grades for Edgenuity completion of tasks will appear in students gradebooks as a classwork mark in the subjects of ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies.
We waited until the second quarter to enable students to reacclimate themselves the program. These marks will only reflect work that is done during class time.
Students may still work at home with Edgenuity to enrich their skills in ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies.
A few students in Grade 7 were required to go remote the last week. Many of those students did not appear at their remote classes and as per the directive of the Superintendent of Schools they are not being given credit for any missed work.
They were also marked absent for the day and may negatively influence their grades during this second quarter.
Again, parents who have questions regarding this may see Mr. Woods who was teaching in Mr. Montas' room on Monday and Tuesday last week and only a few students appeared on Zoom -- many were missing.
