As explained at the parent meeting on September 2nd there is a school blog that will enable the parents to keep abreast of their child’s classwork/homework/tests etc.
All parents need to do is to go online to http://www.olqmnyc.blogspot.com/ and then click on their child’s teacher’s name on the right side of the screen. On the blog will be listed daily homework, tests, assignments etc. along with the material that is being covered for the week in the classroom. For those parents who do not have access to a computer Mr. Marcial will be in the computer room each day from 7:45 AM – 8:00AM to assist parents in reviewing the school blog.
After School Program
As explained in the mailing that went out in August the After School Program will now become an extension of the academic program of the school. The After School Program will run from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM and will offer as part of the program homework assistance, tutoring, availability of computer classes and art classes. Parents who are interested may enroll in the school office with Alba and/or Mr. Marcial.

PreK-3 Ms. Vargas' class will dismiss from her classroom. Kindergarten – will also dismiss from the classroom.
Children who attend the After School Program will be picked up from the class by a staff member of the After School Program
Emergency Cards
Parents will receive 2 emergency cards to fill out with information for us to reach you or a friend/relative in the event of an emergency. All children should know by memory their home telephone number and a number to reach you. If your telephone number changes please call the office and let Alba know along with your child’s teacher.
Sacramental Program
Registration for Baptism, Reconciliation, First Holy Communion and Confirmation will be on Sunday September 21st and September 28th from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
Further information will be sent home.
Breakfast & Lunch Program
The Breakfast and Lunch Program will begin Monday September 8th. Forms will be sent home by the staff of the lunchroom. If the form is not returned your child may be denied lunch. Breakfast begins at 7:00 AM and ends at 7:45 AM with line up in the backyard of the school. Research again and again has shown that children do better academically if they have breakfast. Please get your child to school early so that breakfast will have time to digest before school begins. Many a child has vomited because the parent is rushing the child to school, rushing breakfast down their throat and the stress has caused the food to erupt right back out of the child’s throat.
