Tuition Announcement
Beginning this June (September 2011 payment)
all tuition will be collected by
an outside company named CE Lock Box.
The Archdiocese in streamlining the finances of
its Catholic School System has decided that a
tuition collection company will assist the
schools in becoming financially stable.

As we move forward with this process I want
all parents to know that assistance will
continue to be given by my staff and that
if parents are experiencing financial
difficulties they must see me immediately.

During the next couple of weeks I will outline
the process so that all parents may come
to an understanding of the system. Then in May
the tuition staff will start calling in parents
to pick up tuition coupon books. A letter
will be sent home in the early weeks of May
outlining all steps in the process.

Any questions for now should be directed to Mr. Woods
so that parents receive the correct answer.

Week of March 7, 2011 Announcements

Before we get to Ash Wednesday,
we should start asking ourselves some questions
and we should start with some preparations.
"What does God want to give me this year?"
This question may require that I slow down a bit
and listen to my inner spirit.
For example, even if I'm very busy,
I realize I'm hungry when I hear my stomach start "growling."
"What am I going to be doing on Ash Wednesday?"
Too often, Ash Wednesday is like every other day,
except that I manage to get to church
and get ashes on my forehead.
Is there anything else I can do on Ash Wednesday?
How will fasting and abstaining happen for me,
for my family on that special day?

Emergency Alert Test

Dear Parent/Guardian,

This letter is to notify you that on Thursday March 31st, 2011
every Catholic school in the Archdiocese of New York
will be involved in the testing of the
IRIS Emergency Alert System.

The Archdiocese has worked to make sure
that all schools and their communities are linked
together through the IRIS Emergency Alert System
in the event of an emergency or inclement weather.
On March 31st, 2011 your principal will send out
a message that will read:
“THIS IS A TEST OF THE IRIS EMERGENCY ALERT SYSTEM.
THIS IS ONLY A TEST.
PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS MESSAGE”.

This notice will be sent to you by whatever
form of contact you provided your principal
(e.g., cell phone, email, home phone, text message)
and it will be sent on March 31st by 1:00pm.
If for whatever reason you do not receive
this test alert on March 31st then please contact
your school principal immediately because there
may be incomplete or incorrect information in the system,
which is preventing the IRIS test alert from reaching you.

Please be mindful in the future that any time you
change your cell phone number, email address, and/or home phone,
that you give this new information to the school office
so that they can update your information in the IRIS system.
It is critical that the IRIS Alert System
has your current contact information
so that you may be reached in the event
of an emergency or inclement weather notification.

Thank you for your support as we continue
to provide a safe and healthy
environment for your child.
