Adults in Student's Bathrooms
At the opening faculty meeting a number of teachers brought up the fact that parents have been trying to use the bathroom when students are present.
Parents are reminded that they should NOT be in a bathroom while students are present.
There is an employee bathroom on the bottom floor of the school which parents may feel free to use.

The Success Maker Summer
assignment hours are due by
Friday September 13th.
A number of parents are being hoodwinked by their child that the program doesn't load, the amount of time that they have spent is not being accurately recorded etc.
Mr. Woods in looking over the report on Sunday saw that there a number of students who have completed 10, 12, 13 and 16 hours of work in the same class as students who have only completed a 1/2 hour. If it is working for a majority of the class then it should be working for all students.
Ms. Alma and Mr. Bonilla will be working with students this week to get them where they need to be before Friday.
The Success Maker program like MAP testing is a online platform that is able to judge when a student is not engaged in their work - through scrolling answering a question in a standard amount of time for a student in that grade level etc. etc.--- Success Maker then shuts down and erases the child's work for that session.
A number of children who worked with Ms. Coello and
Mr. Montas this summer were able to see that in action and many of them are the ones who skyrocketed in their hours completed along with the number of questions that they accurately answered.
Yes, they cannot get up to get cookies and milk and let the program run. The student must close down so that their work is saved and then resume.

All PreK Classes
PreK parents may drop off their child with one of the classroom aides beginning at
7:00 AM when the school doors open.
The classroom aide will assist in getting the child breakfast.
