Dear Parents of Students in Kindergarten:
We learned today that your child had
close contact on May 2nd, with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. This means your child will need to wear a
well-fitting mask while at School until Friday 5/13.
If
your child isn’t fully vaccinated and hasn’t recently had a lab-confirmed case
of COVID, they may stay in school if they have no symptoms, but must be tested
on the following dates:
If your child tests positive on any test, please inform the school immediately.

You may have your child take home tests, or visit a doctor’s
office or testing center to complete the required tests. If you choose to use home tests, you must
label each test with your child’s initials and the date and immediately take
photos of the test results.
If
your child is fully vaccinated and shows no symptoms, they must be tested once 3-5 days after their last exposure (or
before their next day of school if notified of the exposure after that time).
· Make sure your school has proof of your child’s vaccination status.

If your child tests positive, please inform the school
immediately.

office or testing center to complete the required test. If you choose to use a home test, you must

photos of the test results. Your child can attend school while awaiting results
as long as they have no symptoms.
All parents should monitor their
children for symptoms of COVID-19 for a full 10 days regardless of when they
return to school. If they develop symptoms, have them tested
immediately.
While we have all been diligent in fighting
the spread of the virus, COVID-19 is still active in our communities.
Vaccination, monitoring for symptoms, staying home when sick, practicing social
distancing, washing hands, and wearing well-fitting masks (surgical masks,
double masking, KN 95, and N95) are critical steps you can take to continue to
protect your child, yourself and our community. Let us continue to entrust our
students to Our Lady as we all pray for an end to this pandemic.
