Re-Opens Tuesday December 3, 2019
Parents are reminded that they should keep up to date with their child's academic progress by checking their account on a weekly basis.  
Check to see -
 Homework completed, missing, incomplete
Class participation
Exit or Entrance ticket quizzes
Projects completed -- especially for students in grades 3-8 on Google Classroom
Test grades.

Should parents need a login and password please contact 
Mr. Guzman in the school office from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
The next Progress Report will be distributed on January 10, 2020  



When is School Closed for Snow?
School is only closed when Mayor DiBlasio closes all schools in New York City.
You can check by going to www.nyc.gov
also by watching NY1
Otherwise school is open.
School will be Open on Monday December 2nd as there is only rain predicted for New York City.


OLQM will celebrate St. Nicholas Day on Friday 
after morning prayers in Church.
Parents are welcome to attend and receive a free candy cane.


The Spring testing in Mathematics and ELA will have a new format in some classes.
Mathematics
Grade 3 - students will be administered the test by computer.
Ms. Wong has already begun to implement strategies to assist students and parents who have questions should reach out to Ms. Wong.
Grades 4-8 Mathematics- Paper Based
English Language Arts 
Grades 5 and 6 - Computer based testing.
Both Ms. Coello and Ms. Toscano have been working with Pearson Realize and other programs such as Common Lit to prepare students. Please check with either of them if parents have concerns.
Grades 3, 4, 7 and 8 - Paper based testing.

Please check your child's immunization status and 
flu shot requirement if your child is below the age of 5.
All children 6 months through 59 months of age enrolled in New York City Article 47 & 43 regulated pre-kindergarten programs (Child Care, Head Start, Nursery, or Pre-K) must receive one dose of influenza vaccine between July 1st and December 31st of each year.
